Smeared and Smudged Mag

It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we announce the pre-launch of the newest project from Smeared Ink! Smeared and Smudged Magazine is the brainchild of Terra Serrano and Tori Searcey, founders of Smeared Ink Rubber Stamps and the Smeared and Smudged online forum. The magazine is scheduled to launch in 2013 and will be a quarterly online publication. The format and content will focus on an aspect of rubber stamping that is not so commonly represented: alternative, gothic, and vintage rubber stamping techniques, non-papercrafting stamping (with some traditional stamping thrown in for good measure), altered arts, mixed media, and artist features. So many publications available now focus on rubber stamping and while there is an abundance of information out there, we felt that there was lacking a representation of the darker, grungier artistic styling that Smeared Ink and other companies embrace. In short, the Smeared and Smudged publication will be a hard hitting magazine for the rubber stamper.

We are currently looking for stamped artwork submissions to feature in our new publication. For more information on our current calls, please visit our Submissions Page.

We are also announcing an open call for writers. We are currently looking for new and experienced volunteer writers with the ability to resonate with our core audience that are interested in an ongoing feature with Smeared and Smudged Magazine, as well as one-time article submissions. If interested please contact us at: smearedinkstamps@gmail.com with the subject line "Writer Call"

Smeared and Smudged Magazine will also be a great publication to reach a targeted audience. For advertising information, please contact us via email at smearedinkstamps@gmail.com with the subject line "Advertising Packet".

We believe that there is a place for this magazine and that we will be able to bring you fun, interesting, and relevant content, resonant and responsible advertising, and a plethora of information that will empower and motivate the rubber stamp artist. We hope you will take this journey with us into the next step for Smeared and Smudged.
